Spectators: 7533 (Terracing: 5651, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nistor Iftimescu kicked off to start the match. Daniel Chirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurre Belorado, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Club Vertigo booed when Caaguazu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Canado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caaguazu's Aurre Belorado was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aurre Belorados short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Daniel Chirea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mancio Rapela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 32 played minutes Caaguazu got a freekick which was hit by Aurre Belorado. Aurre Belorados short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Daniel Chirea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 40 minutes, Narcis Popoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Vertigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Popoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Chirea made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Aurre Belorado sent off a good shot on target. Caaguazu were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Club Vertigo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valente Nieva took the corner. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Caaguazu booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Galiceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Chirea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurre Belorado's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Otsando Oterino hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gartzea Arvelo to maneuver through the defense. Narcis Popoiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Baiardo Combarros made a huge save. Baiardo Combarros was a little too slow when Costică Dindelegan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 79th minute of the match, Narcis Popoiu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baiardo Combarros was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 82nd minute Aurre Belorado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Chirea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narcis Popoiu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baiardo Combarros came out and tried to block the shot, but Narcis Popoiu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute, Caaguazu's Gomesano Cantillo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gomesano Cantillo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caaguazu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gomesano Cantillo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Caaguazu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Vertigo:s goal. Felix Olloa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Caaguazu's Baiardo Combarros got control of the ball when Narcis Popoiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute, Mancio Rapela made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Chirea. Club Vertigo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caaguazu fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Vertigo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
