With a little luck, Pindorama's Dida Silva got control of the ball when Maurício Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Neves got in the 4th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dida Silva handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goalkeeper Dida Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Madureira. Emílio Trevisan hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Maurício Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Micaelense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pindorama the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atlético Micaelense's Maurício Neves got a free kick in the 10th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Murilo Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pindorama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Dida Silva managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Atlético Micaelense's Maurício Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd minute, André Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Amaro having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Mário Festas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Micaelense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pindorama the free kick. In the 26th minute, Mário Festas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davi Luis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Aírton Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atlético Micaelense's Maurício Neves was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Pindorama getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Murilo Montenegro hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Cláudio Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dida Silva. Pindorama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cláudio Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Aírton Correia notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Atlético Micaelense's Marcelo Amaro. Marcelo Amaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aírton Correia was the one to do the kick off. Raúl de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raúl de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Marcelo Amaro made a huge save. After 70 played minutes Pindorama got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Trevisan. Marcelo Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Correia in the 79th minute of play. Dida Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Neves in the 81st minute of play. After 84 played minutes Atlético Micaelense got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Sanches. Cláudio Madureira took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Silva. Dida Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. When Atlético Micaelense's Maurício Neves in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pindorama's goalie prevented a goal.
