An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Armenta in the 7th minute of play forced Atlético Micaelense's goalkeeper Marcelo Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Lautaro L.P.'s Marcelo Amaro threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ismael Armenta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 9 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Armenta came free, but Marcelo Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xabier Frick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Neves in the 22nd minute of play. Cláudio Madureira scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xabier Frick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelo Amaro made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Pol Botero sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute Maurício Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabier Frick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match Miquel Alert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Amaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcelo Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Puertocarrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Pol Botero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lautaro L.P.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Micaelense the free kick. After 38 played minutes Lautaro L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Pol Botero. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Ismael Armenta took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Marcelo Amaro to make any attempt to save it. Ismael Armenta scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Amaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurício Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lautaro L.P.'s Pol Botero got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Pol Botero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Puertocarrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Atlético Micaelense's Marcelo Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Puertocarrero in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Isac Carmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Micaelense's zone, Hugo Orlando Pazols stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Amaro came out of the goal and Hugo Orlando Pazols tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was a well-played corner which Marcelino Verdugo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lautaro L.P.'s Ismael Armenta in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cláudio Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Xabier Frick made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Lautaro L.P.'s Hugo Orlando Pazols got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Vicente Sanches, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marcelo Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Jose Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miquel Alert's late challenge caught a Atlético Micaelense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miquel Alert helped the player get up and apologised. Miquel Alert kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Marcelo Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Armenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Vicente Sanches hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lautaro L.P. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético Micaelense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
