The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Rufo in the 3rd minute of play forced WZG Sandomierz's goalkeeper Bogumil Waselewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Witold Kazczyk got a free kick in the 6th minute. Natalio Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Marosz in the 9th minute of the match. With his leg Natalio Intxixu managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when WZG Sandomierz's Roch Marosz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 16 minutes into the match, WZG Sandomierz's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Rufo came free, but Bogumil Waselewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Marosz came free, but Natalio Intxixu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. WZG Sandomierz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zbigniew Pryputnicki in the 24th minute. Natalio Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Kostrzewa in the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Roch Marosz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Intxixu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wasyl Juchno got free with Natalio Intxixu in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Kostrzewa in the 37th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Natalio Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wasyl Juchno struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Natalio Intxixu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WZG Sandomierz. With a little luck, Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu got control of the ball when Wasyl Juchno tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roch Marosz in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Intxixu saved Locura Académica from getting behind. Gerardo Rufo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Roch Marosz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Intxixu having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roch Marosz made a kick off. The supporters of WZG Sandomierz booed when Locura Académica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute Hieronim Plachetka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Bogumil Japola managed to get in a good position for a shot. WZG Sandomierz's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogumil Japola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Intxixu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roch Marosz in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Intxixu saved Locura Académica from getting behind. In the 58th minute Dariusz Kostrzewa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Argider during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Locura Académica's Jonas Argider got a free kick in the 59th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Bogdan Kaczanka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WZG Sandomierz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogdan Kaczanka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jonas Argider was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jonas Argider hit a great ball. Hieronim Plachetka scored 1-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Intxixu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roch Marosz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natalio Intxixu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bogdan Kaczanka went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Roch Marosz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The WZG Sandomierz fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when WZG Sandomierz's Roch Marosz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aleksander Krzynowek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Witold Kazczyk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Natalio Intxixu. Locura Académica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Natalio Intxixu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasyl Juchno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
