Johan Hedlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Johan Hedlund notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu. Natalio Intxixu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18thth minute of the game Johan Hedlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Hedlund in the 24th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Natalio Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Rufo might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petter Fransson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerardo Rufo ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the game, Carlos Natal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Locura Académica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmö White Knights the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Locura Académica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Natal to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Nicasio Gabirel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locura Académica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicasio Gabirel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Natal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Petter Fransson made a huge save. Gerardo Rufo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petter Fransson having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Petter Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Hedlund came free, but Natalio Intxixu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Melker Wenerdahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö White Knights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Locura Académica the free kick. After 59 played minutes Malmö White Knights got a freekick which was hit by Melker Wenerdahl. After 61 played minutes Locura Académica got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Guillelmo. 63 minutes in the game Staffan Wallin after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Natalio Intxixu. A very good opportunity. The supporters of Malmö White Knights booed when Locura Académica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Lleir didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Johan Hedlund notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu. With a little luck, Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu got control of the ball when Johan Hedlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goalkeeper Natalio Intxixu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Hedlund. In the 88th minute, Jonas Argider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ove Svanér struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Natalio Intxixu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmö White Knights. Johan Hedlund took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natalio Intxixu. Natalio Intxixu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Chants of Malmö White Knights echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Locura Académica had held the ball for most of the match.
