The crowd rose to their feet as Gudhem's Folke Fribäck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Straube. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. In the 25th minute, Folke Fribäck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Straube. The goal made the score 2-0. Herwig Fehr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Tarik Faber came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Sundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Straube having to interfere. Herwig Fehr scored 2-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sverker Lindgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sverker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herwig Fehr in the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Emanuel Schrappe took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Sverker Lindgren to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren got control of the ball when Herwig Fehr tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sverker Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Schrappe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
