Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) STORM's Matvey Berezhnoy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Hansjörg Görlitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. STORM's Konstantin Kuznetsov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mel Ecker in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Mirco Maier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Otten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mirco Maier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olaf Lübke came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by STORM's Matvey Berezhnoy. But to his dismay, Matvey Berezhnoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Artur Kulebyakin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STORM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Otten the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in STORM's zone, Mel Ecker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantin Kuznetsov came out of the goal and Mel Ecker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Artur Kulebyakin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt came free, but Konstantin Kuznetsov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to STORM getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sergey Bazhko hit a great ball. After 36 minutes of play, SC Otten's Mel Ecker made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konstantin Kuznetsov was left in no man's land by his defense there! STORM's Konstantin Kuznetsov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mel Ecker in the 40th minute of play. Konstantin Kuznetsov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hansjörg Görlitz in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 52nd match minute, STORM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semen Burgov to maneuver through the defense. Mel Ecker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Konstantin Kuznetsov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Frederik Vielmann kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Artur Homutov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Konstantin Kuznetsov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Vielmann in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute Rudi Tenhagen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Kuznetsov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, STORM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Blyukher to maneuver through the defense. Konstantin Kuznetsov made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Frederik Vielmann sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Hansjörg Görlitz took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Konstantin Kuznetsov to make any attempt to save it. Ronnie Schilder took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Konstantin Kuznetsov. Konstantin Kuznetsov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Rudi Tenhagen scored 1-5 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Konstantin Kuznetsov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, SC Otten's Rudi Tenhagen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Konstantin Kuznetsov. Konstantin Kuznetsov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. 90 minutes into the match, Ronnie Schilder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Konstantin Kuznetsov. STORM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronnie Schilder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronnie Schilder got free with Konstantin Kuznetsov in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SC Otten's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
