Durval Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Dedé da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Mandrak in the 9th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Dedé da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes BEST FABIO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Severo. Cleiton Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Salgado in the 14th minute of play. When Leonardo Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pereiras FC's protests and gave Leonardo Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Leonardo Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Ceresso hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Durval Torres scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dedé da Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Pereiras FC's Aloísio de Barros got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Aloísio de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pereiras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cleiton Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doni Furtado in the 31st minute. After 46 minutes, Luiz Fábio Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pereiras FC and the BEST FABIO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes Pereiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Passos. Cleiton Alcântara was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Evandro Cunha. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Torres was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Alfredão de Senna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleiton Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Pereiras FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ciro Mandrak hit a great ball. Cleiton Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Salgado in the 60th minute of the match. Pereiras FC's Cleiton Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Salgado in the 62nd minute of play. Pereiras FC's Aloísio de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleiton Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pereiras FC booed when BEST FABIO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Gabriel de Carvalho, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aloísio de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé da Silveira having to interfere.
