In the 9th minute Rudi Tenhagen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heinrich Langer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Renan Furlan made a huge save. In the 24th minute, SC Otten's Ronnie Schilder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renan Furlan. Renan Furlan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Hellmuth Mönch hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, União dos 7 FC's Duarte de Almeida shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olaf Lübke came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in União dos 7 FC reached it. Dinei Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Otten's Frederik Vielmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renan Furlan. That made the score 4-0 after 47 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rudi Tenhagen to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronnie Schilder in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Furlan saved União dos 7 FC from getting behind. Renan Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 77 played minutes SC Otten got a freekick which was hit by Mirco Maier. Ronnie Schilder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Renan Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Schilder, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, União dos 7 FC's Zé Porto got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, União dos 7 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronnie Schilder came free, but Renan Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mirco Maier took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renan Furlan. Renan Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Otten fully deserved thier win.
