Jef De Langhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Käller, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jarno Leemans made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hagmoren BK's Sven-Åke Fransson. In the 17th match minute, Club Brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Toussain to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Magnus Walroth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jef De Langhe. Club Brugge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Sylven Van der Meiren took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Hans Persson to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Hagmoren BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Brugge:s goal. The goalkeeper, Hans Persson, was totally fooled by Club Brugge's Fredrik Wijgaert, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 30 minutes into the match, Fredrik Wijgaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Persson. Hagmoren BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fredrik Wijgaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Hagmoren BK's Hans Persson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Hagmoren BK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Käller in the 35th minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Jef De Langhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Club Brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger De Mulder to maneuver through the defense. Jef De Langhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Käller, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Jef De Langhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Käller in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vilhelm Käller made a kick off. Fredrik Wijgaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Persson having to interfere. Hagmoren BK's Hans Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylven Van der Meiren in the 56th minute of play. Jef De Langhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Käller in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Nils-Åke Lindqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Brugge's Jef De Langhe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Brugge from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute Fredrik Wijgaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Wijgaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Persson having to interfere. Rolf Toussain scored 4-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans Persson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Hagmoren BK's Vilhelm Käller in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Brugge's goalie prevented a goal. With an all-out effort, Hagmoren BK's Jef De Langhe threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vilhelm Käller, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jef De Langhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Tidén in the 85th minute of the match. Hans Persson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Toussain in the 87th minute of play. Tage Lindqvist's late challenge caught a Club Brugge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tage Lindqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Hagmoren BK got a freekick which was hit by Tage Lindqvist. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilhelm Käller kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jef De Langhe. That made the score 4-2 in the 92 minute of play. Jef De Langhe came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Hagmoren BK's Vilhelm Käller. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Club Brugge's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
