Jef De Langhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. João Francisco Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Toussain in the 6th minute of play. Amauri Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jef De Langhe having to interfere. Edvaldo Leal's late challenge caught a Club Brugge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Edvaldo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Denílson Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capivara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Brugge the free kick. After 11 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Vander. Jef De Langhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Bastos in the 17th minute of the match. If Fredrik Wijgaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Carvalho. A collision led to Capivara FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Anderson Guerra hit a great ball. After 28 minutes of play Capivara FC's Edvaldo Leal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Capivara FC's Edvaldo Leal got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 33 played minutes Club Brugge got a freekick which was hit by Soren Leenders. Amauri Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jef De Langhe came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Capivara FC's Amauri Sampaio. But to his dismay, Amauri Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 43rd minute, Soren Leenders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Club Brugge players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Capivara FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolf Toussain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Amauri Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Capivara FC's Amauri Sampaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jef De Langhe. That made the score 0-3 after 57 minutes of play. Amauri Sampaio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jef De Langhe came out and tried to block the shot, but Amauri Sampaio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Amauri Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jef De Langhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Amauri Sampaio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jef De Langhe. The goal made the score 0-5. Amauri Sampaio took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jef De Langhe. Jef De Langhe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Capivara FC's João Francisco Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Toussain in the 90th minute of play. Amauri Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jef De Langhe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Capivara FC's Amauri Sampaio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. Capivara FC played a much better game than Club Brugge and deserved their victory. The Club Brugge players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
