The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Dantas during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Antônio Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Antônio Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio da Cunha having to interfere. When ROSÁRIO SPORT's Lino Zonta in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tirense F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horácio da Cunha having to make a save. Jonas Correia came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Tales Alagoano. But to his dismay, Tales Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 29th minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Willian Cunha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonas Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Zonta's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Lino Zonta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Tirense F.C.'s Antônio Dantas got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Tirense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lino Zonta came free, but Jonas Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Zonta in the 40th minute of play. Jonas Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Zonta in the 41st minute of the match. After the first half ROSÁRIO SPORT were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lino Zonta made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Lino Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jonas Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute, Alberto Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Lino Zonta made a precise shot to the right of Jonas Correia. Tirense F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 63rd minute, Willian Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Horácio da Cunha. ROSÁRIO SPORT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After 67 minutes, João Augusto Maciel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tirense F.C. and the ROSÁRIO SPORT players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lino Zonta in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonas Correia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luisão Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio da Cunha having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Lino Zonta took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Jonas Correia to make any attempt to save it. In the 89th minute, Willian Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Cunha in the 96th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Horácio da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ROSÁRIO SPORT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ROSÁRIO SPORT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
