The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antônio Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robby Klopterop having to interfere. Willian Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robby Klopterop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jason Airpoel during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jason Airpoel hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alberto Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tirense F.C.'s protests and gave Alberto Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Conrad Switten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirense F.C.'s Jonas Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto Marinho's late challenge caught a Lopidato FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Marinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Marinho. In the 61stth minute of the game Willian Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lopidato FC's Robby Klopterop was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tirense F.C.'s Valdo Ferreira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 80th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Robby Klopterop but with some difficulty. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Lopidato FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tirense F.C.:s goal. Andy Schockaert struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jonas Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lopidato FC. Lopidato FC's Robby Klopterop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Dantas in the 97th minute of play. If Andy Schockaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tirense F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tirense F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
