After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Bizen Villafuentes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Hermínio Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Isauro Contero made a huge save. Sérgio Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Isauro Contero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Ríver Late's Isauro Contero got control of the ball when Hermínio Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cléber Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Feloaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 15th minute, Rogério Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isauro Contero made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Hermínio Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Isauro Contero stood somewhat misplaced when Hermínio Medeiros came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Isauro Contero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermínio Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Cléber Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beti Jene in the 26th minute of the match. Isauro Contero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Medeiros in the 27th minute. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ríver Late's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dino Brito was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético-PR's players had a chance to rest. Iuri Gaúcho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 29 played minutes Atlético-PR got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Gaúcho. If Andres Feloaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bizen Villafuentes in the 37th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Cléber Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Feloaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariando Oca made a kick off. Ariando Oca came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cléber Neiva could save by the left post. In the 56th minute, one of Ríver Late:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ríver Late. The referee gave Atlético-PR a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dino Brito, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ríver Late's Isauro Contero. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Hermínio Medeiros put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Isauro Contero. Balesio Carriles hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Isauro Contero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Medeiros in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Sérgio Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Baltazar Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Hermínio Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isauro Contero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Balesio Carriles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Medeiros in the 93rd minute of play forced Ríver Late's goalkeeper Isauro Contero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isauro Contero having to interfere. Atlético-PR's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
