After taking down the ball on Mi querida Fabiola's corner Jaime Vermudo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cléber Neiva quite easily take care of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Mi querida Fabiola's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Medeiros came free, but Fabio Filipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Atlético-PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Netto to maneuver through the defense. Aníbal Netto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Atlético-PR getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Aníbal Netto hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Jaime Vermudo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Elija in the 26th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Cléber Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Hermínio Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Filipo. Mi querida Fabiola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermínio Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Hermínio Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evelio Mikelar during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabio Filipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cléber Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Victoro in the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Mi querida Fabiola's Evelio Mikelar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cléber Neiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermínio Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. Cléber Neiva was a little too slow when Leo Elija got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 3-2. After a rather tough play, Mi querida Fabiola's Froilan Birila got a free kick in the 56th minute. Mi querida Fabiola's Fabio Filipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Vidal in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Luiz Paulo Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético-PR's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Paulo Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Filipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Atlético-PR booed when Mi querida Fabiola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Santxol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermínio Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Filipo having to interfere. Fabio Filipo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Medeiros in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Filipo saved Mi querida Fabiola from getting behind. In the 91st minute of the match, Evelio Mikelar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cléber Neiva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Mi querida Fabiola's Jaime Vermudo got a free kick in the 94th minute. The supporters of Mi querida Fabiola booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético-PR's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
