Ronaldão Mazza hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Arturo Lehior managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Lehior was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Pancho made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Ronaldão Mazza sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

51 minutes into the match, Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper Bebeto Britto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Nafarroa. 54 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Porto came free, but Alfredo Pancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Pancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Porto in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Paulão Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Ronaldão Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee ignored Milanis E.C.'s protests and gave Chicão Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Milanis E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Matorin. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Alfredo Pancho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
