When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Guto Bueno took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Zacarias Bento to make any attempt to save it. In the 34th minute, Milanis E.C.'s Zé Carlos da Cunha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zacarias Bento. Zacarias Bento yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. With an all-out effort, Milanis E.C.'s Zacarias Bento threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabiano de Sousa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zacarias Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Gabon made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Catarinense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Gaitan to maneuver through the defense. Belmiro Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Guto Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Koehler came free, but Zacarias Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bebeto Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Izel in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Faustino Izel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zacarias Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiano de Sousa scored 6-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Bento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 87 minutes into the game, Milanis E.C.'s Fabiano de Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Bento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Abelardo Lauaxeta kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Milanis E.C. booed when Catarinense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Perutxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milanis E.C.'s Bebeto Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Gabon in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Milanis E.C. were the better team. Milanis E.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
