Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arturo Lehior got the match started through his kick off. Nilton da Silva hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Arsenal MGK's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Lehior came free, but Rui Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Lehior in the 8th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Silvinho Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal MGK and the San Lorenzo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silvinho Correia hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Nilton da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Pimenta during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Norberto Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Maureo in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, San Lorenzo's Erasmo Maureo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jerônimo Meirelles hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Arsenal MGK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurício Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alfredo Pancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilton da Silva made a kick off. Alfredo Pancho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilton da Silva's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Arturo Lehior might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Lehior ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Arsenal MGK's Jerônimo Meirelles got a free kick in the 58th minute. Arsenal MGK's Rui Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Lehior in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Erasmo Maureo managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Maureo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Maurinho Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Lehior in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Arsenal MGK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Maurício Freitas hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Rodrigo Jakes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Souto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Jakes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Souto was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Rui Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Maureo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rui Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Erasmo Maureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Pancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the San Lorenzo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
