Freddie Söderlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Blakewell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Child came free, but Freddie Söderlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's Freddy Blakewell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddie Söderlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Allan Vinström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clapham Rovers's Conan Worth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Vinström in the 43rd minute of play. Knut Blom took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Conan Worth. Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Mellin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conan Worth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Käcker in the 78th minute of the match. Kind of Blue's Freddie Söderlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Kind of Blue from getting a goal against them. After 81 played minutes Clapham Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Blakewell. After a defensive mix-up in Kind of Blue's zone, Freddy Blakewell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Söderlund came out of the goal and Freddy Blakewell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Blakewell got free with Freddie Söderlund in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Clapham Rovers defense, Allan Vinström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conan Worth. The Clapham Rovers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conan Worth should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham Rovers's zone, Allan Vinström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conan Worth came out of the goal and Allan Vinström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Harvey Eslworth got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Kind of Blue were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Clapham Rovers for a fine match.
