The tension between the Plumerillo and the Cosa nostra Lyon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teofilo Laurin hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Genaro Lucado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominique Favrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciriaco Shantala during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciriaco Shantala hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Lebreton came free, but Genaro Lucado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Plumerillo's Genaro Lucado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Lebreton in the 42nd minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Pirmin made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Steven Lebreton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genaro Lucado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominique Favrot's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 85th match minute, Plumerillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Egoitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Dominique Favrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Lucado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosa nostra Lyon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
