Sport Club Mavericks's Rony Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Shantala in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Mesquita came free, but Genaro Lucado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Victoriano Pirmin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12thth minute of the game Alfredão Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plumerillo's Genaro Lucado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Victoriano Pirmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Afonsinho Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Mavericks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plumerillo the free kick. The supporters of Plumerillo booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Lucado was a little too slow when Alfredão Mesquita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Genaro Lucado was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Alfredão Mesquita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredão Mesquita really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 28th minute, Alfredão Mesquita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Club Mavericks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a little luck, Plumerillo's Genaro Lucado got control of the ball when Charles Matorin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Sport Club Mavericks's Fred Vides seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fred Vides the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sport Club Mavericks protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fred Vides had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 32nd minute, one of Sport Club Mavericks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sport Club Mavericks. Ildefonso Egoitz charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ildefonso Egoitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Plumerillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Egoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Lucado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
After 51 minutes, Luciano Peyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plumerillo and the Sport Club Mavericks players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Luciano Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus Novaes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Genaro Lucado. Plumerillo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Teofilo Laurin charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teofilo Laurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Plumerillo's Teofilo Laurin got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 54 played minutes, Sport Club Mavericks's Mateus Novaes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Genaro Lucado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Club Mavericks reached it. Alfredão Mesquita took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genaro Lucado. Genaro Lucado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 64 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Mesquita came free, but Genaro Lucado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match Mateus Novaes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genaro Lucado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Alfredão Mesquita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genaro Lucado was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Genaro Lucado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Mesquita in the 76th minute of play. Genaro Lucado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Egoitz in the 84th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Rony Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Davi Rossi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Mesquita in the 95th minute of play forced Plumerillo's goalkeeper Genaro Lucado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sport Club Mavericks were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Plumerillo for a fine match.
