Valentin Hâjdău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaizka Coira in the 4th minute of the match. If Irinel Ciupe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, Auriolam II C.F.'s Gaizka Coira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Hâjdău made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Bitxintxo Zamora notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hope AFC's Valentin Hâjdău. Valentin Hâjdău was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute Bitxintxo Zamora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Auriolam II C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 42nd minute, Eric Sântimbrean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Fran Gómez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Hope AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eric Sântimbrean. A collision led to Auriolam II C.F. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Fran Gómez hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Valentin Hâjdău showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bitxintxo Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Valentin Hâjdău made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fran Gómez in the 56th minute. Bitxintxo Zamora blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Hâjdău having to make a save. In the 93rd minute Jesús Elias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Hope AFC defense, Fran Gómez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Hâjdău. The Hope AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Hâjdău should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Auriolam II C.F. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hope AFC throughout the match.
