Spectators: 7509 (Terracing: 5632, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Emanuel Barbu kicked off to start the match. After 2 minutes, Emanuel Barbu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hope AFC and the UFC STEAUA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Emanuel Barbu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 4 minutes, Emanuel Barbu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hope AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Barbu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Hâjdău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Oțeteleșanu in the 19th minute of play. Valentin Hâjdău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Mangra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Hâjdău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Mangra in the 26th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Eric Sântimbrean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hope AFC and the UFC STEAUA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hope AFC's Valentin Hâjdău proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Hope AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Hope AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Aursulesei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iosif Călin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Valentin Hâjdău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Bostan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Hope AFC defense, Costică Mangra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Hâjdău. The Hope AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Hâjdău should have stopped the shot. When Ioan Oțeteleșanu came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the UFC STEAUA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ioan Oțeteleșanu couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Corneliu Hurezeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Hâjdău made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Martin Albu sent off a good shot on target. Costică Mangra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Valentin Hâjdău made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Bostan got free with Valentin Hâjdău in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Costică Mangra made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Costică Mangra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Hâjdău came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Ioan Oțeteleșanu. But to his dismay, Ioan Oțeteleșanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 56 minutes into the match, Hope AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ioan Oțeteleșanu came free, but Valentin Hâjdău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Sântimbrean kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Valentin Hâjdău came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Petrică Bostan. But to his dismay, Petrică Bostan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 63rd minute, Ioan Oțeteleșanu made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Hâjdău. Hope AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 68th minute Corneliu Hurezeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Ioan Oțeteleșanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Valentin Hâjdău was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hope AFC's Valentin Hâjdău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Bostan in the 75th minute of play. Valentin Hâjdău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Oțeteleșanu in the 79th minute of the match. Valentin Hâjdău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Bostan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Hâjdău stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petrică Bostan's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Corneliu Hurezeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Hâjdău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Hâjdău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Mangra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Hope AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Mangra came free, but Valentin Hâjdău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Hâjdău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Bostan in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Eliodor Bărăian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC STEAUA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0.
