Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Wilfredo Izel made the kick off and thus started the match. Teo Lapurdi kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Elias Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Roberto Teyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Erlantz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. Anier Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Elorri having to interfere. Elias Elorri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Pudes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Marlin FC's Gregorio Loi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Elorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 43rd minute, Edelmiro Ticho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Gregorio Loi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marlin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Loi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Marlin FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Hernandez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Marlin FC's Gregorio Loi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Elorri was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alfonso Pudes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Evis came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Almeyra F.C.'s Lázaro Ascencio. But to his dismay, Lázaro Ascencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Almeyra F.C. were furious when Alejo Gizon was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 69th minute, one of Almeyra F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Almeyra F.C.. If Edelmiro Ticho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cosme Erramun fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marlin FC's protests and gave Cosme Erramun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Erramun to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Pudes in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Elorri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anier Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Almeyra F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Ticho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Pudes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Elorri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 91st minute of the match, Everardo Tomi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elias Elorri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Marlin FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Almeyra F.C..
