Niculae Șişman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Loi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the game, Marlin FC's Anier Sazon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niculae Șişman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gheorghe Comănescu during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gheorghe Comănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Anier Sazon made a precise shot to the right of Niculae Șişman. Hope AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Emanuel Marina kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Gregorio Loi struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Niculae Șişman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marlin FC. 19 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goalkeeper Timoteo Evis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irinel Ciupe. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Barbu got free with Timoteo Evis in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 22 minutes, Emanuel Marina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hope AFC and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuel Marina kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hope AFC's Emanuel Marina got a free kick in the 24th minute. Gregorio Loi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Marlin FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eric Sântimbrean 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Hope AFC's Mădălin Liviu suffered a sore thigh after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 34 minutes, Anier Sazon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marlin FC and the Hope AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anier Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Hope AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Marina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Barbu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Timoteo Evis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eric Sântimbrean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Gregorio Loi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niculae Șişman. Hope AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Loi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half Marlin FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Hope AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Petruț Aursulesei hit a great ball. Marlin FC's Roberto Teyo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Hope AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Loi came free, but Niculae Șişman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hope AFC's Emanuel Marina got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes of play, Marlin FC's Gregorio Loi made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niculae Șişman was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Izel in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Șişman saved Hope AFC from getting behind. In the 71st minute Wilfredo Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Șişman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Șişman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Izel, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 76 minutes of play, Marlin FC's Gregorio Loi made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niculae Șişman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hope AFC's Niculae Șişman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Sazon in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Gregorio Loi could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Niculae Șişman however easily saved by the left post. After 86 minutes, Emanuel Barbu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hope AFC and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hope AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Emanuel Barbu hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Marlin FC's Wilfredo Izel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niculae Șişman. Niculae Șişman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Marlin FC's Wilfredo Izel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niculae Șişman. That made the score 1-7 after 90 minutes of play. When Gregorio Loi came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Marlin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Loi couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Marlin FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hope AFC throughout the match.
