In the 12th minute, Dinei Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Genílson de Queirós. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Oskar Andberg in the 19th minute of play. Roger Klemensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Lucas in the 23rd minute. After 28 minutes, Henry Åkerström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samurai and the Icoara Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Icoara Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Samurai were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Lucas was the one to do the kick off. After 56th play minutes Fredrik Bennet shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Caetano Monteiro and just under the crossbar into goal. After 60 minutes, Matías Ceresso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Samurai players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Icoara Football Club's zone, Fredrik Bennet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal and Fredrik Bennet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Henry Åkerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlinhos Negri charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlinhos Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, one of Icoara Football Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Icoara Football Club. Icoara Football Club:s Caetano Monteiro showed great skill when he stopped Fredrik Bennet:s penalty. The supporters of Icoara Football Club booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Bennet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Lucas came free, but Roger Klemensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Klemensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Lucas in the 83rd minute of play. If Fredrik Bennet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Åkerström in the 93rd minute of play. Egídio Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
