Ladislao Faro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabrício Rosa went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egídio Lucas got free with Ladislao Faro in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Mariano Ezkerra put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Caetano Monteiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Ezkerra in the 35th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genílson de Queirós hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Valdo Lima got a free kick in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Ezkerra in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caetano Monteiro saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. 86 minutes into the game, Leonides Rayman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caetano Monteiro. Leonides Rayman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-7. With his leg Caetano Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Mariano Ezkerra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute Egídio Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Ezkerra in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, Genílson de Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icoara Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gloria Verdinegra AFC the free kick. The supporters of Gloria Verdinegra AFC booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
