When Elias Giro fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pancha Futbol Club's protests and gave Elias Giro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pancha Futbol Club's Elias Giro got a free kick in the 19th minute. Caetano Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Cipriano Kemen sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Roger Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorio Romildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Lucas in the 27th minute of play. Egídio Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorio Romildo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egídio Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. Cipriano Kemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Monteiro having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Fabrício Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Pancha Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Rosa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson de Queirós in the 41st minute of play forced Pancha Futbol Club's goalkeeper Honorio Romildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Fabrício Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Romildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Pancha Futbol Club's zone, Egídio Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Romildo came out of the goal and Egídio Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Pancha Futbol Club defense, Egídio Lucas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honorio Romildo. The Pancha Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honorio Romildo should have stopped the shot. Caetano Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Frans's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Fabrício Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorio Romildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Pancha Futbol Club booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Santiago Frans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Caetano Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Icoara Football Club's Egídio Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pancha Futbol Club's Honorio Romildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Pancha Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, Fabrício Rosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorio Romildo. Pancha Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrício Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The supporters of Icoara Football Club booed when Pancha Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Gartxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Fabrício Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 4-3 became the score in the 93rd minute when Egídio Lucas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pancha Futbol Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
