In the 17th minute, Damazy Bartocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peep Maasik hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Klement Ostrowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arvo Viksi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marek Nõukas charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marek Nõukas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juliusz Rozanski might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arvo Viksi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 47th minute Juliusz Rozanski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvo Viksi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Arvo Viksi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Ostrowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damazy Bartocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arvo Viksi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigiusz Oryniak in the 64th minute of play.
