The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Antonello Pocobello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthony Pietrantoni in the 6th minute. In the 11th minute, Julian Adrio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave Falcioni was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Amadeo Frantzes's late challenge caught a Burnley FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Frantzes helped the player get up and apologised. Amadeo Frantzes hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Silvestre Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Pietrantoni in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Ellande came free, but Dave Falcioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Falcioni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Bras went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Burnley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Belardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Ellande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Stat Veritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Bras. Alvise Carnevale's late challenge caught a Stat Veritas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvise Carnevale helped the player get up and apologised. Alvise Carnevale kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Anthony Pietrantoni succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 33rd playminute. Anthony Pietrantoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Silvestre Fernandez made a huge save. Venancio Lop's late challenge caught a Burnley FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stat Veritas FC. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Burnley FC. Anthony Pietrantoni stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silvestre Fernandez. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthony Pietrantoni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Clodoveo Ellande took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Dave Falcioni to make any attempt to save it. 66 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Ellande. After 67 minutes of play, Stat Veritas FC's Clodoveo Ellande made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Falcioni was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Ellande. Clodoveo Ellande made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 76thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dave Falcioni would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 81st minute, Anthony Pietrantoni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Burnley FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. With a little luck, Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni got control of the ball when Clodoveo Ellande tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alfredo Felice hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stat Veritas FC's zone, Aldo Catini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Fernandez came out of the goal and Aldo Catini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stat Veritas FC played a much better game than Burnley FC and deserved their victory. The Burnley FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
