Samsunspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lipochσrion FC the free kick. In the 7th minute, Diogenis Kanelidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diogenis Kanelidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hayri İlksen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Hayri İlksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogenis Kanelidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lipochσrion FC booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celal Murathan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hayri İlksen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogenis Kanelidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Dionysis Giannakoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erol Buminhan kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Diogenis Kanelidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor's zone, Dionysis Giannakoulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hayri İlksen came out of the goal and Dionysis Giannakoulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionysis Giannakoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christos Mantziris was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Lipochσrion FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 40th play minute Dionysis Giannakoulis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hayri İlksen. 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Hayri İlksen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Ömür Akkın made a kick off. Diogenis Kanelidis scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hayri İlksen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 59 minutes, Akakios Katopodis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lipochσrion FC and the Samsunspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Akakios Katopodis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Selman Alptekin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsunspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selman Alptekin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ömür Akkın in the 62nd minute of play forced Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper Dimitris Pirtsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samsunspor's Cemal Erdurmus got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thodoris Pelekanos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Hayri İlksen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lipochσrion FC. Cemal Erdurmus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celal Murathan kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Hayri İlksen came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Lipochσrion FC's Diogenis Kanelidis. But to his dismay, Diogenis Kanelidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Dionysis Giannakoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lipochσrion FC had played much better football throughout.
