The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Leonardo Boström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandu Bâru in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Ola Mellberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Sonstorps Fotboll defense, Francisc Ionete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Ola Mellberg. The Sonstorps Fotboll fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Ola Mellberg should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Leonardo Boström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BVB 09's Filip Mirciulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Boström in the 23rd minute of play. BVB 09's Filip Mirciulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save BVB 09 from getting a goal against them. Jens-Ola Mellberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandu Bâru's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Sandu Bâru put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jens-Ola Mellberg. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sonstorps Fotboll's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Mellberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Iacob Martinescu got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half BVB 09 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Boström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lars-Erik Odeen scored 2-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filip Mirciulescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55th match minute, Sonstorps Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Nordström to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Boström came free, but Filip Mirciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens-Ola Mellberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandu Bâru's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandu Bâru got free with Jens-Ola Mellberg in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filip Mirciulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Boström, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Boström during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute, Leonardo Boström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandu Bâru in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens-Ola Mellberg saved Sonstorps Fotboll from getting behind. Sonstorps Fotboll's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
