After 2 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Lars-Erik Odeen. Jens-Ola Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Abraão in the 15th minute of play. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonardo Boström 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Luís Fabiano Mesquita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG from getting a goal against them. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Flavinho Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Flavinho Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Ola Mellberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven Backlund's late challenge caught a Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A collision led to Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Andrézinho Penha hit a great ball. Yngve Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Luís Fabiano Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fabiano Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars-Erik Odeen went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Sonstorps Fotboll's Jens-Ola Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Abraão in the 63rd minute of play. But to his dismay, Leonardo Boström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Flavinho Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Pedrão Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrão Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 95th match minute, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Tavares to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sonstorps Fotboll fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
