After 16 minutes of play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Elivélton Cerezo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fabiano Mesquita was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG booed when IGUIPORÃ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andrézinho Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the IGUIPORÃ FC defense, Pedrão Santana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basílio Veloso. The IGUIPORÃ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basílio Veloso should have stopped the shot. In the 30th match minute, IGUIPORÃ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Domingues to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Veloso got free with Luís Fabiano Mesquita in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 37 played minutes, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Andrézinho Penha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basílio Veloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Pedrão Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrão Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Luís Fabiano Mesquita hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-1! After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Víktor dos Santos got a free kick in the 68th minute. Flavinho Abraão, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Andrézinho Penha hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Flavinho Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Penha in the 78th minute of play forced IGUIPORÃ FC's goalkeeper Basílio Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinho Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Basílio Veloso made a huge save. When Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Edinho Tavares in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute, Perivaldo Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IGUIPORÃ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After 92 played minutes IGUIPORÃ FC got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Faria. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for IGUIPORÃ FC.
