Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) Matias Eli made the kick off and thus started the match. Theo Smeekes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maximino Afonso came out and tried to block the shot, but Theo Smeekes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Gerwin Bogarde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florida Gulf Coast's Maximino Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Smeekes in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Florida Gulf Coast's Matias Eli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bennie Robben made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 15 minutes, Ciro Corderun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Florida Gulf Coast and the The Dalwhinnie Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ciro Corderun hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Maximino Afonso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theo Smeekes's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Fabio Jerico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bennie Robben read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Bennie Robben came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Florida Gulf Coast's Fabio Jerico. But to his dismay, Fabio Jerico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 34th minute, Sebastiaan Karelse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremias Errapel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The The Dalwhinnie Boys players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Florida Gulf Coast were winning 1-2.
The wind increased when Izaak Pierewaaijer made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Ciro Corderun got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 61st match minute, The Dalwhinnie Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastiaan Karelse to maneuver through the defense. When Sebastiaan Karelse fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Dalwhinnie Boys's protests and gave Sebastiaan Karelse a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastiaan Karelse kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Flavio Lauren didn't quite understand what happened when in the 63 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 65 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Neto. Maximino Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Kleinman in the 67th minute of the match. The Dalwhinnie Boys's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dimitrie Kuypers in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Fabio Jerico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Smeekes in the 74th minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Maximino Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of The Dalwhinnie Boys booed when Florida Gulf Coast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Gentza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Florida Gulf Coast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Abilio to maneuver through the defense. Maximino Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitrie Kuypers, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Matias Eli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Sebastiaan Karelse with Frits Schrage as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 92 minutes, Jeremias Errapel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Errapel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bennie Robben came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Florida Gulf Coast's Fabio Jerico. But to his dismay, Fabio Jerico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Florida Gulf Coast eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
