The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximino Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregor Ranzijn in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 10th minute Matias Eli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Job Bot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.C. Potentia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Toro Martinez scored to the left of an out of position Job Bot, making the score, 1-0. Maximino Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naci Ünüvar, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Job Bot made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Fabio Jerico sent off a good shot on target. S.C. Potentia's Job Bot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Eli in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Gregor Ranzijn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Potentia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Florida Gulf Coast the free kick. After 26 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Ranzijn. Job Bot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ruud Schokkenbroek managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Potentia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruud Schokkenbroek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Afonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximino Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naci Ünüvar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Job Bot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Eli in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Naci Ünüvar came free, but Maximino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Lauren kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Naci Ünüvar made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when S.C. Potentia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Thole didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Martinez in the 53rd minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Job Bot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geale van den Brink kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Job Bot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Jerico in the 62nd minute of play. If Geale van den Brink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Maureo charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Maureo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of S.C. Potentia booed when Florida Gulf Coast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Maureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Job Bot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Lauren in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Matias Eli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Job Bot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Toro Martinez fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida Gulf Coast's protests and gave Toro Martinez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute Toro Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Job Bot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Job Bot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Eli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Ciro Corderun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Job Bot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, Matias Eli notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of S.C. Potentia's Job Bot. Job Bot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
