If Milosz Kaznocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacy Filanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SK Gullegem's Jo van der Eycken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Bronkala in the 25th minute of play. Jo van der Eycken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Bronkala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wart Hollants hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Bronkala came free, but Jo van der Eycken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match, Christopher Frans got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emil Niziolek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jo van der Eycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Bronkala in the 46th minute of the match. Milosz Kaznocha hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Astral were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute Frank Costermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Niziolek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, SK Gullegem's Christopher Frans made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Niziolek was left in no man's land by his defense there!
