Spectators: 7488 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Fernandez started the match with the kick off. Amauri Freitas hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes of play, SeleSantos FC's José Fernandez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlo Del Giudice was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 12th play minutes José Fernandez shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Carlo Del Giudice and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Orlandi got free with Tales Siqueira in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciro Orlandi hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When José Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the SeleSantos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Abelardo de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Del Giudice having to interfere. In the 30thth minute of the game José Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Roma's Carlo Del Giudice was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Fernandez in the 37th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Carlo Del Giudice to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrianinho Catarinense hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tales Siqueira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fabrizio Di Silvio. Carlo Del Giudice showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half SeleSantos FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ciro Orlandi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Fulvio Natale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tales Siqueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Abelardo de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Orlandi in the 57th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Tales Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Abelardo de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SeleSantos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Del Giudice breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Abelardo de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AC Roma's Emilio Di Fazio got a free kick in the 74th minute. Abelardo de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes, Angelo Marcelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Roma and the SeleSantos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Marcelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, SeleSantos FC's Carlo Del Giudice threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abelardo de Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. José Fernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Del Giudice read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Fabrizio Di Silvio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Roma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SeleSantos FC the free kick. After 84 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Di Silvio. The audience was convinced that Ciro Orlandi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tales Siqueira was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
