Spectators: 6736 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jack Eklund got the match started through his kick off. Åke Björling came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinhote FC's Herberto Bento. But to his dismay, Herberto Bento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Eusébio Salgueiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 15th minute Herberto Bento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Björling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Motala's Anton Åberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alberto Domingos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pinhote FC! Pinhote FC:s Alberto Domingos showed great skill when he stopped Anton Åberg:s penalty. The supporters of Motala booed when Pinhote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pinhote FC's Eusébio Salgueiro got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Åke Björling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reine Wallander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Domingos having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Miguel Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Paulino Araújo made the kick off in the second half. Åke Björling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Leão in the 53rd minute of the match. Eusébio Salgueiro's late challenge caught a Motala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Salgueiro helped the player get up and apologised. Eusébio Salgueiro hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Paulino Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Paulino Araújo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olov Majman during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olov Majman kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Åke Björling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Salgueiro in the 88th minute of the match.
