The score was now 1-0. If Jorge Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Cavalcante. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Bem Bolado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Dráuzio Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Rosado in the 27th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Tepedino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Rosado in the 32nd minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Montesclarense E.C.'s zone, Adhemar Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Monteiro came out of the goal and Adhemar Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luiz Cavalcante made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Acácio Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bem Bolado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Bem Bolado getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Acácio Rosado hit a great ball. If Luiz Fábio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Luiz Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Agnaldo Félix fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bem Bolado's protests and gave Agnaldo Félix a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bem Bolado's Agnaldo Félix got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Montesclarense E.C. from getting a goal against them. Luiz Cavalcante scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cauã Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Luiz Cavalcante made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Pitta. Bem Bolado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Luiz Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Montesclarense E.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Bem Bolado for much of the match.
