Zeledon Hermon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Olavo Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Hermon having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Genílson Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio de Senna made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Abel Colas sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Ernesto Jurgi got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Abel Colas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olavo Carioca was the one to do the kick off. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Jurgi in the 53rd minute of play. Ruben Kismi's late challenge caught a Poetass FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Kismi helped the player get up and apologised. Poetass FC's Rony Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Zeledon Hermon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Saldanha in the 91st minute. Poetass FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
