Chiquinho de Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Luís Guilherme Novaes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luís Guilherme Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Cavalcante in the 19th minute of play forced Royal Knights FC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Luís Guilherme Novaes made a huge save. Luiz Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Novaes having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Elivélton Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Cavalcante in the 29th minute of play forced Royal Knights FC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Fernandinho Fantini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Knights FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 41st minute Fernandinho Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Chiquinho de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Royal Knights FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Andrade made a kick off. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Montesclarense E.C. from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Dedê Rossi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro. Luiz Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Luiz Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Chiquinho de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitório Melo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Montesclarense E.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! When the match was over Royal Knights FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montesclarense E.C. throughout the match.
