In the 30th minute, Abelardo Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Prata came free, but Cássio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Adhemar Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio de Senna. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adhemar Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Prata in the 45th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Bem Bolado were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adhemar Sanches made a kick off. In the 51st minute Ismael Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Passos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when Bem Bolado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 80 minutes into the game, Ismael Palmeira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cássio de Senna. Bem Bolado's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
