Luiz Cavalcante scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fatih Adas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 6th match minute, Líbano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hisham Khalif to maneuver through the defense. Fatih Adas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Cavalcante in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Elivélton Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Hadi Faraj. After 20 minutes, Kadar Aban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Líbano and the Montesclarense E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Líbano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kadar Aban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Líbano's Fatih Adas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Cavalcante in the 28th minute of play. Líbano's Hamzah Al Safi got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Muhannad Ajram got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Líbano's Hamzah Al Safi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Luiz Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhannad Ajram in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Líbano booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muhannad Ajram was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Waddah Luqman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kadar Aban in the 56th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Muhannad Ajram got free with Luiz Monteiro in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Líbano booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Monteiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hadi Faraj. Chiquinho de Lima hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luiz Cavalcante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fatih Adas was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. With a little luck, Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro got control of the ball when Muhannad Ajram tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Mohammad Faraj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Luiz Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fatih Adas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Líbano players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
