Spectators: 7640 (Terracing: 5731, Seating: 1757, VIP seats: 152) Olavo Carioca started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes of play, Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enéas Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Narciso Dias's late challenge caught a Poetass FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Dias helped the player get up and apologised. When Claudinho Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Poetass FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Saldanha couldn't finish the play. Royal Knights FC's Enéas Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Pernambucano in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Royal Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Carioca came free, but Enéas Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 21st minute of the match Narciso Dias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Narciso Dias a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Narciso Dias hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Cássio de Senna made a huge save. From close distance Allan Andrade pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 30 minutes into the game. Royal Knights FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wiliam Sanches in the 36th minute. The corner ended in Wiliam Sanches almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna did a great save. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Poetass FC from getting a goal against them. Cássio de Senna came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Knights FC's Allan Andrade. But to his dismay, Allan Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Abelardo Mattos scored 2-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enéas Félix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Allan Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. If Allan Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Félix having to interfere. Wiliam Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cássio de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Royal Knights FC's Wiliam Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Allan Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Sanches came free, but Cássio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Mattos during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Abelardo Mattos got a free kick in the 68th minute. Claudinho Saldanha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Enéas Félix firmly grabbed it by the left post. Enéas Félix made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Dário Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. Enéas Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Carioca in the 80th minute of play. Royal Knights FC's Allan Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiliam Sanches struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Cássio de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Knights FC. 90 minutes into the game, Dário Pernambucano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enéas Félix. Dário Pernambucano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 95th minute, Wiliam Sanches left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Knights FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
