El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scott Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurinho Corrêa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Minuim SS's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Carney came free, but Maurinho Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvinho Marquez's late challenge caught a El Canalla de Chicago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvinho Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. Silvinho Marquez hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Minuim SS's Maurinho Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Souza in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Minuim SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Minuim SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Shawn Reyna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arthur Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Vito Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roosevelt Guthrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommie Tipton charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommie Tipton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Canalla de Chicago had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
