The supporters of B68 Toftir booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Bürgi in the 5th minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Roosevelt Guthrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Kent Carney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Ritter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Christopher Zehnder fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored B68 Toftir's protests and gave Christopher Zehnder a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to B68 Toftir getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Christopher Zehnder hit a great ball. After 18 minutes of play, El Canalla de Chicago's Kent Carney made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. August Ritter was left in no man's land by his defense there! August Ritter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scott Souza in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th match minute, B68 Toftir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Zehnder to maneuver through the defense. Scott Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Ritter having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Quint Scenna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. B68 Toftir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canalla de Chicago the free kick. Scott Souza had several of the B68 Toftir's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed August Ritter as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Tim Coates got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Souza in the 47th minute of play forced B68 Toftir's goalkeeper August Ritter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. August Ritter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Potts in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Scott Souza made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, B68 Toftir's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Souza came free, but August Ritter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alonzo Bürgi 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. Kent Carney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. August Ritter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Potts in the 69th minute of play. When El Canalla de Chicago's Scott Souza in 70 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. August Ritter guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Scott Souza sped through B68 Toftir's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Ritter. In the 75th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Coates to maneuver through the defense. Roosevelt Guthrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Suter, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Roosevelt Guthrie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Suter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Bürgi in the 80th minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Roosevelt Guthrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vince Potts in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Ritter prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
