Ciro Del Vecchio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Bürgi. 31 minutes into the game, B68 Toftir's Diego Schultz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The supporters of Villa Gordiani booed when B68 Toftir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Zehnder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Alonzo Bürgi could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Ciro Del Vecchio however easily saved by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When Jaromir Helbling came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the B68 Toftir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaromir Helbling couldn't finish the play. Antonio Baldassarre kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Alonzo Bürgi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Del Vecchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Jaromir Helbling came free, but Ciro Del Vecchio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Suter in the 58th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Villa Gordiani defense, Diego Schultz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Del Vecchio. The Villa Gordiani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Del Vecchio should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Bürgi in the 71st minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Varglien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Ritter having to interfere. In the 76th minute Joseph Suter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Del Vecchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Del Vecchio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Suter in the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gregoire Schumacher managed to get in a good position for a shot. B68 Toftir's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregoire Schumacher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Del Vecchio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Del Vecchio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaromir Helbling, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. B68 Toftir had played much better football throughout.
