Spectators: 7549 (Terracing: 5663, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Manuel Fernandes made the kick off which started today's match. Eurico Figueira made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Mieszko Gardocki sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Emil Wisniewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eurico Figueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 11th minute Vivaldo Durães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janusz Zjawin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Warteczka's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Warteczka defense, Manuel Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Janusz Zjawin. The Warteczka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Janusz Zjawin should have stopped the shot. Filipe Quinaz took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Janusz Zjawin. Janusz Zjawin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Warteczka's Janusz Zjawin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Gama in the 22nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roch Niezywy during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Warteczka getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Roch Niezywy hit a great ball. If Serafim Sacadura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Manuel Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Janusz Zjawin. Warteczka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Gervásio Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Fernandes in the 41st minute of play forced Warteczka's goalkeeper Janusz Zjawin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Warteczka's goal looked a bit too open when Adélio Neves came free, but Janusz Zjawin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Gremio Viana were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mieszko Gardocki made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Warteczka's Roch Niezywy got a free kick in the 51st minute. Eurico Figueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mieszko Gardocki in the 56th minute of play. Warteczka's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Adélio Neves scored to the left of an out of position Janusz Zjawin, making the score, 1-6. Adelino Gama kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 1-7 when Manuel Fernandes sped through Warteczka's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Janusz Zjawin. 72 minutes into the game, Adélio Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Janusz Zjawin. Adélio Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Janusz Zjawin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Fernandes in the 76th minute. After 82 minutes of play, Gremio Viana's Manuel Fernandes made it 1-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Janusz Zjawin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the match, Warteczka's goalkeeper Janusz Zjawin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Gama. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Eurico Figueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adelino Gama came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Janusz Zjawin could save by the left post. In the 92nd minute of the match, Filipe Quinaz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Janusz Zjawin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fernando Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Gremio Viana left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Warteczka.
