Gaspar Markel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Romelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Quinaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Jesus Lluis charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesus Lluis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jesus Lluis hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Cesar Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Quinaz in the 6th minute of the match. Cesar Romelio came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz. But to his dismay, Filipe Quinaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Eurico Figueira was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Claudio Iturri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudio Iturri really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Jesus Lluis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Manuel Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Gama in the 20th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Cesar Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Romelio came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Manuel Fernandes. But to his dismay, Manuel Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Fernandes in the 34th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Cesar Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Adelino Gama ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesar Romelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Serafim Sacadura hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Adelino Gama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adélio Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Gladiadores's Cesar Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Gama in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gladiadores's Cesar Romelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Gladiadores from getting a goal against them. Filipe Quinaz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 61st minute of the match, Filipe Quinaz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cesar Romelio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Filipe Quinaz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Cesar Romelio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 75 minutes, Vivaldo Durães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gremio Viana and the Gladiadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vivaldo Durães kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jesus Lluis hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Gladiadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Iturri to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Fernandes got free with Cesar Romelio in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cesar Romelio. Cesar Romelio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Wilfredo Monico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gladiadores's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Monico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico Figueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Gladiadores supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gremio Viana's performance. The match ended with a win for Gremio Viana.
